On International Nurses Day, we highlight the importance of implementing a risk management system for patient safety and the involvement of the work, on the front line, of the nursing service.
The care of nurses is essential for the well-being of the patient together with agreed tools, such as the European standard UNE 179003:2013 on risk management for patient safety.
The main objective of the regulation is to achieve the control of health risks, through an adequate management system and safer health care for the patient.
In addition, the implementation of UNE 179003 in health centres contributes to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), set by the UN.
